How to Choose the Right Lipstick for You

It's just a suggestion and tips for you how to choose a right Lipstick and right color for your lip. Since lips is a very importance part in your face. With a sightless pink color on your lip will give a big impact to your whole face.

Be careful when choose the lipstick, make sure it's didn't contain any mercury or petroleum in the ingredients. This thing can damage your lips skin.

  1. 1
Choose a color that complements your skin tone and the natural color of your lips.
  2. 2
Choose medium tones like pinks, peaches and beiges with orange or pink undertones if you have light hair and skin.
  3. 3
Try medium tones with richer colours, like caramel or deep pink, if you have dark hair and light skin.
  4. 4
Try any colour if you have medium skin and hair (though anything will look good, stick to lighter shades to bring out your rich skin).
  5. 5
Wear plum or wine lipstick if you have dark skin.
  6. 6
Wear reds and light browns if you happen to have a more olive skintone.
  7. 7
Wear lighter shades during the daytime and darker shades when you go out at night. Lipsticks with a matte or cream finish provide for a more refined look during the day. Sheer, natural colors also make for great daytime looks. A glossier lipstick creates for an enchanting evening visage.
  8. 8
Test out different shades by visiting your local department store or drug store. Department store beauty counters will let you try products before you buy them and may offer free makeovers. Drug and dollar store lipsticks are inexpensive meaning you can buy more of them at a time to test out at home. In addition, some drug store chains will refund your money if you buy an unflattering shade.
  9. 9
Remember that your lipliner (if you choose to wear it) should be the same shade as your natural lips. Lips should be lined before applying lipstick, not after.
  10. 10
Take your eye makeup into consideration when choosing a shade. Deep or bold shades go best with light eye makeup; conversely, light or natural shades of lipstick best complement heavy eye makeup.

TIPS

  • The best shade is the one that still looks great even if you're wearing no other makeup. This is a color that will always work for you.
  • If you want just a hint of color, you'll want to opt for a colored lip gloss or lip tint over regular lipstick. Most cosmetic lines offer sheerer products for you to choose from.
  • You'll want to test lipstick whenever possible. Just because a shade looks great in the tube, doesn't mean it'll look good on you.

WARNING!!

If you play the saxophone or any other reeded instrument (or a brass instrument, or flute, or anything you have to put your lips around for that matter), don't wear lippy! Your reed will change colour.
